Question by Brad A: Effects of combining Benzodiazepines and Cannabis?
I’m prescribed to Klonopin, which is a benzodiazepine 1mg/day. Would smoking cannabis have an adverse effects, or would it be safe to do so? No medical conditions, healthy, it’s prescribed for anxiety attacks.

It will heighten the respitory depression that the klonopin causes. I wouldn’t smoke very much to be safe. Cannabis also decreases anxiey, but causes more anxiety when you don’t have it for a while. I will assume you take the klonopin at bedtime, I wouldn’t smoke any for the few hours before you take the med to be safe.
