@BigTimeLuck This is the truth. Alcohol sucks, I have no idea why weed is illegal but they have no problem selling alcohol. Just look at the amount of deaths that occur because of drunk driving. How often do you hear that somebody died while they were driving under the influence of marijuana? And a lot of street fights that occur at night during “celebration” days are because the participants are under the influence of alcohol. Either make both illegal or legal. It’s all or nothing!

oh wow…… I remember The Reefer Band playing at the University of West Fla in Pensacola in Jan 1975……. maybe 250 people, in the gym…. Buffet stayed on stage the whole 3 hours while the band took a break. What a great show, and great memories! My roomie & I were out getting coffee the next morning & invited the band back to our dorm for beverages…… (14′x14′ dorm room), spacious! That was the year it snowed in the Bahamas! Yeah, we DID look like that then. THANKS for the footage…..

Those were the main two reasons AMERICA made it illegal. The American government has a hard time it was wrong, which is why they haven’t and maybe never will change the law. AMERICA imposed it’s rules on marijuana on Canada and many other countries. Same thing AMERICA did to Canada and many other countries on the subject of communism. But that’s another argument all together.

I did not specifically comment on cancer, and that 2007 study from Harvard only looked at cancer.

Further, there have been other very “recent” studies of marijuana that cover more than just cancer.
You will find that JAMA has published that the damage of marijuana use is linked the the usage volume.
You will also find that Harvard only studied on mice.

Ya whatever you wanna believe. I would strongly suggest you take a look at some european studies done in the last 5 years or so, there’s a 2011 documentary that would be a good place to start, probably available on youtube “What if Cannabis Cured Cancer”
I agree with you, most studies out of the US are garbage, due to the current law’s around studying marijuana at all.
I also agree more study is necessary, it is happening and its coming back better then we ever thought imaginable.
